That is why we wanted to transform the original SONOR sound, look & feel of the fabulous 50s, 60s, and 70s drums into a contemporary concept: The Vintage Series. Updated teardrop lugs with TuneSafe and the sound of German Beechwood shells with fully rounded bearing edges.

Hand selected premium beech drum shells form the base for the Vintage Series drum kits and these shells also benefit from 9-ply cross laminated tension free feature on all drums. Rounded bearing edges offer increased head contact which allows for a fatter, warmer sound that is dry but extremely resonant. Redesigned Superprofil triple flanged hoops are as standard with the Vintage Series and they adopt a classic shape which compliments the sleek Teak Semi Gloss Veneer Finish.
