Following a strict inspection to insure an absolute, uncompromising standard of quality, the sticks are finished with the 11-step finishing process, which distinguishes them from any other drumstick in the world.

- Macrolus sticks feature the strike zone.
- This zone is created by compressing the top layers of wood in the rim-shot area of the drumstick with a 5-ton press.
- Because of the increased density which is created in this outer layer, the stick is more durable and more capable of withstanding rim-shot impact.
